Welcome to School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

In 1981, Physical Chemistry direction took the lead in the School of being authorized to confer doctoral degree in the first list of the state. In 1998, Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry were simultaneously added as the faculty programs entitled to authorizing doctoral degrees. In 2000, Chemistry was upgraded to the first –degree faculty program with the authority to offer doctoral degree, which made the School programs construction mount a new stage and enter a development period with a unprecedented fast speed. At present, the School possessed a Quantum Chemistry postdoctoral research mobile station, have 5 faculty programs with right to confer doctoral degree (Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry and Physics) and 7 faculty programs with right to confer master’s degree (Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Techniques).
At present, the School are totally undertaking nearly 100 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, including Climbing Projects, National Hi-tech 863 and 973 Projects, National Key Projects for Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSFC), and so on. The current research funds are 6 million RMB, which has increased fast year by year.
